Well, time is flying, and it is that time of the year again. You may be
asking what time of the year it is?  Well, it’s the Las Vegas antique
and JCK jewelry shows. Trade shows, especially the big
las vegas shows, are so important for 2 reasons. We try to buy antique
jewelry and diamonds at these shows (sorry wholesale
only) and  we get a sense of where the diamond and antique jewelry
business is going. Let’s take a look:

1) diamond prices and antique jewelry, especially antique engagement
rings, are very strong. In Las Vegas we will see how the supply of
antique jewelry and diamonds is doing. If the supply is low, prices
will be strong. We suspect that this will be the case.

2) Who are the buyers?  Are our friends from the far east (specifically
china, india and the Arab countries) going to be buying? What’s happened
to the european and american markets?

The diamond and antique jewelry business is now a global market and
changes are always in the works. By going to the Las vegas shows we can
answer our 2 main questions and see where the business will be in the
